SENSELESS RESIDENCY 2020, curated by Cose Cosmiche
ARTHUR CRAVAN FOUNDATION _ Milan
Session 2020: maximum 3 senseless residencies. Selected projects will be announced on February 25.
Arthur Cravan Foundation and Cosmic Things announces a residency programme and provides a place for developing and working on projects deemed to be “senseless”: beyond the good common sense, standards, norms and normalizations (conscious or unconscious) of the artistic and intellectual production of the time… of this time.
During the residency, it will be possible to develop senseless projects/ideas/actions/timeouts that require space and time alternative to the usual rhythms of production/performance and use/consumption. A place where it is possible to implement a state of acceleration or deceleration.
The residencies are open to artists, researchers, scientists, philosophers, curators, critics, writers, directors, poets… There are no restrictions regarding nationality or age.
HOW AND HOW LONG
Senseless Residence offers lodging without meals or travel expenses.
The residency period is a maximum of 15 days. If necessary to the project, the residency period may be used as two or more separate stays.
The space provided for the residency is a studio flat (25 sq. meters) fully equipped with bathroom and kitchen for a convenient stay in Milan’s Chinatown. The residence accommodation is not equipped as a workspace.
The residency is also open to groups but the space is suitable for a maximum occupancy of 2 persons (1 bed + sofa bed).
