The Mänttä Art Festival is the largest summer exhibition of Finnish contemporary art. The curator for this show is selected annually, ensuring that our exhibitions always present a fresh perspective within the field of Finnish contemporary art. The award-winning Mänttä Art Festival is a destination regarded highly by art professionals and much loved by the general public. Our exhibition space is located in the Pekilo building, at the heart of Mänttä. The Mänttä Art Festival will take place from June 14 to August 31, 2020, in Mänttä-Vilppula, Finland.
This year, the Mänttä Art Festival has selected Anna Ruth as the curator for the 2020 exhibition. This year’s exhibition title is Erehtyminen / To Err Is Human and it presents 47 artists or artist groups. The exhibition highlights the diversity of contemporary art in artistic mediums, styles, perspectives, languages and nationalities. Almost half of the artists come from a multicultural background.
